At a high-level roundtable in London hosted by the High Commissioner to the UK HE George Brandis QC, in partnership with the Australian Trade and Investment Commission, Australian Prime Minister, the Hon Scott Morrison MP, called for a technology-led approach to ‘reach net zero emissions as soon as possible, and preferably by 2050.’

A small number of senior leaders from UK energy, hydrogen and battery storage businesses discussed a range of innovations and plans for investment in Australia including Svante Kumlin, CEO and Founder of Eco Energy World (EEW).

Mr. Kumlin was delighted to meet with the Prime Minister to share his vision and to understand the roadmap Australia has for this exciting sector.

EEW has progressed rapidly over the last few years, recently announcing a AUD$500 Million investment for a solar, hydrogen and battery development in Raglan and the Port of Gladstone, Queensland.

Later, Mr. Kumlin announced:

We are extremely excited to reveal our commitment to a further AUD$2 Billion investment in solar, hydrogen and battery to be deployed before 2030 ensuring EEW remains a key international player in the development of renewable infrastructure assets. The strength of our global network is reflected by this important meeting with the Australian PM along with a small number of global industry leaders.

EEW appreciates the relationships built with the Australian Government and Queensland Government business development units, in particular, the EDQ & QIT."
